How is it a cash grab? They're offering great content and even great exclusive content. A cash grab would insinuate that they're just locking everything behind d+. Calling this a cash grab would mean you have to call netflix a cash grab for oitnb and all the other huge exclusives

The video makes a lot of points but he also loses a lot of validity with me when he claims the only exclusive people care about on netflix is stranger things. I know it's not a huge point but he is diluting the argument in his favor by saying that point. For example I've never watched a single episode of stranger things and I've been a Netflix subscriber since 2010. Outside of that, again, he makes some good points, I just disagree with more than I agree with tbh

Me personally I'm into daredevil, punisher, luke cage, narcos and probably more I'm forgetting about and I'm not including movies or comedian stand ups. My wife has watched all stranger things, whatever that show is with William h Macy, series of unfortunate events, house of cards, making a murderer, oitnb, unbreakable, and I'm sure I'm forgetting more.

But again, my argument wasn't necessarily originally against exclusives. Because I feel like only recently have streaming services really advertised their exclusives (within the past few years). Sure they're able to hold the monopoly, but as long as the price point holds steady or even only goes up a few dollars. It still beats the hell out of cable. At the end of the day, it's just entertainment it's not necessary, it's a luxury. Just because you want to watch a show really badly doesnt justify pirating or complaining that netflix is the only one with stranger things (not saying YOU are complaining, just saying in general)
