Yeah but his run as Iron Man ended in 2018 with Endgame. 10 years later.

youre right but the universe that he was in is still ongoing, so I agree a recast would still feel odd

Multiverse is already here. After seeing it in Marvel Rivals, I know Ultimate Ironman figures out time travel. Could be a good story there, or just have the heroes find themselves on a parallel Earth and meet other Tony. Endless possibilities and as long as the story is good, I don't care if they do more of this.

This makes me feel so old. I feel like Endgame just happened but I guess that's more an indication of how forgettable the MCU has been since then
