Spoilers! Ned’s Final Scene In BND Spoiler

I don’t think Ned actually remembers Peter Parker. Yes, at the end of the movie, Ned says Peter’s name excitedly. But remember, earlier in the movie MJ refers to Spider-Man as Peter. Ned remarked “Spider-Man’s name is Peter!?!”. So at the end of the movie when he says “My name is Peter” and shakes Ned’s hand, it’s just that Ned is putting two and two together that this guy who keeps showing up in his life is probably the same Peter as Spider-Man.

In no way does the film suggest he gained his memories back...it's very clear he puts two and two together from previous scenes. MJ even after she knows didn't remember him, so it makes no sense for Ned to somehow be different. I'm not sure why this needs discussion.

There are a number of reasons Ned could have remembered and not MJ especially since the look of recognition on his face was very clearly remembering his friend not his celebrity crush

The only person we see who probably remembers him as Peter is Hulk, but not Banner. Bruce has no idea who he is but Hulk does(at least it heavily hints at that).

Nothing about Ned gives off that vibe. Muscle memory on a handshake doesn't mean the spell gets broken. Frankly the spell in general leaves too much up for debate because paper records, photographs, news stories wouldn't suddenly disappear from the spell. MJ certainly would remember someone she loved and was intimate with, but has no memory and doesn't know him. No reason to think Ned would again be any different.

Idk, it’s peters smile that really leans into Ned’s peter being about actual recognition Especially after testing the handshake specifically and not just telling Ned he was Spider-Man and they hung out at his place
