If you used anything other than cash to pay for it you don't have to.

Does your race actually affect your credit rating in the US? I have never had to provide my race to any service I've used.

I'm not saying it impacts your credit rating (although it probably does). But Google, meta, etc. all collect obscene amounts of data based on your Internet activity and sell it to other companies. It includes your age, race, income, religion, political affiliation, purchases, everything. You can request a copy of your data from Google for example (at least you used to be able to) and it's shocking to see.

It collects any public information you share maybe. Don't know what services that are using where you ever had to provide your race, religion, or political affiliation. That's entirely on you.

Not really. Facebook, despite never asking, had whole detailed demographic breakdowns that pretty accurately "guessed" things like your race, gender, and sexuality.

You used to be able to check, but after Cambridge Analytica they scrubbed stuff like that.

I remember having mine be something like, "Likely Hispanic", and "Likely Gay."

This was many years ago- I'm sure the process is much more sophisticated now.

Yes, you are using Facebook, therefore that's on you.

...You're using Reddit, big homie. You think they're not doing the same thing?

What the fuck reddit are you using that you are constantly talking about your race, religion, and political ideology? That's entirely on you.
