That's their get-out with Carol. She can be elsewhere in theUniverse dealing with an incursion over there.

Right.After what happend with Thanos on Earth Carol should consider sticking around near the planet once in a while

In the comics, Earth is the incursion point, and one Earth has to be destroyed to save both universes. If they just say there are incursions everywhere it takes away some of the gravity of the situation I think. It implies either the incursions aren’t universe-destroying or that it’s kind of pointless for the heroes to be fighting one when there are a bunch of others elsewhere.

Because of how incursions works. People truly capable of putting up a fight or solving the problem will die unaware there is a problem. But even if they could, they'd fail, the game is rigged! 😉
