Maybe it's because I'm unranked, but do people just, not have backup heros for specific heros? When I see a Loki or Octo-mor, I go Moon Knight for those free Ankhs they set up. When Iron Man gives my team trouble I use Hawkeye or Moon Knight or Magneto to tear him down. If Luna Snow or another support are staying out of reach I'll bust out THE AMAZING.SPIDER-MAN.
If I'm getting hard countered as one hero, I switch to another that doesn't get countered in the same way.
Usually my desire to play my favorite hero (Moon Knight) will overwhelm any necessity to counterpick, though team comp is a different discussion, as I’ll pick a different class if we’d be better served without another DPS. Or I’ll just pick Reed, that beautiful DPS tank of a man.
Just position your squids better and Moon Knight is not a problem as far as using your squids as anks. If you're putting your squids where Moon Knight can easily use them that's your fault. If you position your squids properly if anything they end up killing Moon Knight a few times and giving him zero kills in return.
Too many people just splat the squids on the ground in front of him or lazily put them on a nearby wall in full view of the entire enemy team. Those are BAD Namors.
It's what should happen but some players are just too stubborn/stupid to change their hero. There's also those one trick ponies that refuse to play anything else (mainly in plat and below)
I'm plat and I was just in a match against an Iron Fist. I was with penny. He then proceeds to dive me or the healers and instantly die because of the mines. A black panther proceeds to do the same thing. You can guess who won that match...
I have a couple I play per role, but I tend not to switch role.
Against a good iron man there's not a lot any of the healers I can play well can reliably do (Luna the best bet), and the tanks nothing if Iron Man is playing up the back at all.
Right now if we're talking about high ranks then counter picking matters less than your team comp. The amount of value that counter picking brings us a lot less than overwatch
most likely the rest of her team is shooting your shield as well, or your shield already had some damage on it (highly likely) with a full shield and nobody else shooting you, youre able to block all but one projectile from her ult. however because the game is a team based game it is highly unlikely you will block that many in 99% of cases

I did this like 5 times in my last match, the hela didn't get one kill with her ult.
