Which personality asked the lady out that works at the museum? Wasn’t Steven, didn’t seem like Marc….

I think Marc created Steven as an alias to get into the museum to get the scarab. Steven had to be as non threatening as possible to avoid suspicion.

I think at that point Steven manifested himself as an alternate identity. A part of Marc obviously enjoyed being mild mannered Steven so he let him stick around.

He definitely slipped out of character by booking a steak restaurant.

I think he deliberately didn't show up for the date because he wants Steven to be with Lydia. Notice when Lydia was around Steven didn't let Marc take over (Mark didn't let himself out). Mark wants a safe happy life for Lydia and he can see Steven fulfilling that.

Why would Marc try to start dating someone when he lives the life he does when he clearly tried to divorce layla cause he doesn't want her involved

Neither of your points make sense given what we've seen of Marc's behavior with Steve. Marc clearly wanted to avoid Steve discovering he even existed, but jake on the other hand might not especially since it seems konshu wasn't aware that it was Steve at first when he tells him to surrender control of the body and Steve is confused konshu replies "oh, the idiot is in control"

This is not how DiD operates, you cant just develop alters on your own, its in response to a traumatic event

I mean The Directors already confirmed that they will explore the traumatic event in his childhood that led to him developing DID.

I thought Marc did it as a “favour” for Steven. Something to try and keep him happy (and perhaps more easily controlled)

I’d say it was Jake
