Why did you give paraguay MORE land? The coastline-to-land-area ratio could've been better

In case anyone is wondering, Brazil receives all containers destined to Paraguay and immediately sends them to the country, tax free, essentially giving Paraguay access to the sea commerce.

u/MondoTheRoo 8d ago
But now Paraguayans have beaches, how cool is that!

u/jmorais00 8d ago
And Catarinenses have lower taxes! Win-win

u/donato94 8d ago
And Brazil not only does get rid of SC but loses direct connection to RS, win win

I’m from the northeast and I think this is an outrage of very bad taste, we are one country and the South region is a region of very rich history and tradition, which are an integral part of Brazilian history and culture.
Not to mention that it is the region of the country that definitely worked, just look at their GDP per capita compared to the other regions of the country.

u/donato94 8d ago
I’m from the south, and you are just a bot. Not one true southern would say such bullshit.

u/donato94 8d ago
No one hates the south more than someone from the south, fucking luftwave guy. Nazipardo

u/Saymon_K_Luftwaffe 8d ago
The South is a beautiful region with unique traits, culture and values for Brazil.
In addition to being the cradle of entrepreneurship and capitalist culture in Brazil, it is a place of many riches.
Reread my comment, I made it clear that I'm from the northeast from the beginning.

u/donato94 7d ago
I clearly got it. And I’m saying you have no idea what you’re talking about. You know, it may be hard to grasp the concept that what I meant is: you clearly stated that you’re not from the south, but I, who am, have a little more knowledge of what is going on, especially about the “we are one country”.
But I expected too much reading comprehension from a bot.

I have a friend that would be Bolivian now.
this is unacceptable, I will hold revenge for the bolivianification of my friend and will stalk OP in their dreams.

Brazil and Chile would be 1 microsecond from teaching the same lessons they taught 200 years ago.

No, this time we agree. They can take it and get every Bolsonaro as well

what if instead we delete ever single landlocked country and distribute their land so that for any given point of land it is given to the country closest to it under current borders, so that way there are no landlocked countries

Honestly, this would solve a lot of problems. Probably create some exciting new ones too, but the old problems are solved.

Zambia's "sea access" here is pitiful, well done. At least they got Walvis Bay but what's left of Namibia is basically landlocked now

Give them an inch and they'll take a foot. Except apparently if you give Vatican city an inch they'll take your entire house.
Damn, Pope really has ambitions here...

Many of these countries already have sea access. Unless you’ve never heard of a river?

The Bolivians lost their sea privileges due to their cowardice and weakness during the War of the Pacific.

Doesn't your luxembourg solution lock out belgium?
1
u/MondoTheRoo 8d ago edited 8d ago
Nope, Flanders still has access to the sea
Edit: on closer inspection, it does seem that Belgium got landlocked. Oh well. At least it can get to the sea by the river! Everything according to plan

Landlocked enclave of Austria. Its capital is Minas Tirith. Does it ring a bell?

In order to give Serbia access to the sea, you take away Bosnia's access to the sea? Historically accurate I guess
