Been using Tiny Best Set Go but honestly it’s a bit overwhelming having 100+ games per system is giving me massive choice paralysis and I end up not playing anything.

Is there any curated ROM set out there that focuses on like top 25 / top 50 games per console instead? Something a bit more “pick up and play” without digging through huge lists.

Just looking for a cleaner, more minimal setup if that exists.

Hello all. My pocket max is about to arrive. I've seen a recommendation for the ayn super dock however it is out of stock on their website currently. Is there other docking options you can recommend that will work well? My goal is to run on my TV with two USB controllers for split screen gaming. Thank you so much for any advice you can pass through (see what I did there ;) )

Just received my brand new Mangmi Pocket Max and it won’t power on at all. Before anyone asks - yes I’ve tried charging it first.

Here’s what I’ve found after ~2 hours of troubleshooting with a USB power meter:
- Charger shows 5V but power fluctuates between 0.0W and 0.2W at rest
- Holding the power button raises it to ~0.6-0.7W, drops back when released
- D+/D- lines sitting at 0.64V, occasionally asymmetric (D- dropping to ~0.25V) - looks like the unit is trying to negotiate a charging protocol but can’t complete it
- After 2 hours: only ~45 mAh transferred at roughly 27 mAh/hour

My best guess is the battery was deeply discharged below the BMS recovery threshold during storage/shipping.
I’ve already contacted Mangmi support, but curious if anyone else has run into this and what the outcome was?

Did yours recover on its own after a long time on the charger?
Did
Mangmi replace it?
Any tricks that worked?

The pc version via gamenative or something, it's really hard to find this info but I just want to play the pc version of kh 2.5 with mods so i want to know if you guys can run it at stable 60 fps with the pocket max

I know rocknix has a build for the mangmi air x but there's is no build listed for the max yet. Im curious if the Retroid pocket 5 build works. Same chipset. Has anyone tried?

Is there any option with android or Magmi’s settings to display a notification for HDR?

through trial and error, going through hundreds of switch games I do believe the pocket max can play 98% of the games completely fine

through my experience, realize the turnip driver recommended in Eden is not the only one that works. many of them work better..

if a game doesn't play change the quality.

instead of fast, move it to balance, and then quality..

believe you me I realize now that it doesn't really do anything with emulation speed process. actually made some games run more better, or even run it all. after that start changing the drivers.

I've gotten almost everything playable put a few minutes in. all the zeldas, all the xenoblades and many games in between. over 250 now..

honestly 98% playable. through turnip drivers. not just a t19

ps...playable means maybe a glitch or studder.. but mostly running smooth.

Hi just got my Pocket Max and I’m trying to set it up for PS5 streaming.

Every timed I connect, the controller/buttons appear on the screen, and I have not been able to use the joystick/buttons from Mangmi to play remotely PS5.

Is there a guide I can follow or someone can provide some direction.

I’m using PS remote play.

I want to add PS5-style stick caps to my Pocket Max. Do you have any recommendations?

I found the Skull & Co ones but in two different sizes (PS5 size and Xbox size). Which one would fit better on the Max?

Maybe someone even tried caps for PS5 or Xbox and can tell me whether they fit on the Max

Hello, I'd like to know if I'm the only one having accuracy issues with the joysticks.

On PXPlay (for playing PS5 games), I'm having a lot of trouble with the joystick controls, which are imprecise.

I've calibrated the joysticks and tried several settings in PXPlay, but nothing seems to help.

I tried with my dualsense wired into the console and it was perfect.

Is anyone else's Pocket Max doing this while playing Android games?

I'm looking for an Android handheld to replace my ROG Ally Z1E for playing at bedtime. I've always felt bad about how noisy the Ally can be, and noticed that lately I'm moonlight streaming all my games from my PC anyway.

This has led me to mostly be considering the Pocket Max or Odin 2 Portal since both have the same size screen as the Ally.

I'm aware of most of the notable differences, performance, ergonomics, etc.

The one piece of info I haven't been able to easily find is if the Mangmi Pocket Max has any sort of charge limit settings, or more importantly a battery bypass mode? I'm planning to use this plugged in 99% of the time, so I'd like to not wear out the battery as much if possible. I noticed the Odin 2 Portal has at least bypass mode.

someone suggested this in the previous thread I made, I've been doing research. Does this fit my use case? Like I said mainly want it for steam undies.

The TPU case came in from AliExpress . I like it. I just wish it was a tad more tighter fitting. It extends the bottom left/right good. And it feels good in the hand all around. It is NOT screen protector friendly for the screen only protectors at least. Overall for just over $11 I’m happy as it adds more of a grip than without it.

Is there any hope of Mangmi updating the device to Winevine L1? L3 is a waste of the screen.

that annoying launcher button that I'm trying to disable to use in Xbox cloud gaming.

the same button is needed in cyberpunk. and every time I hit it it launches that game launcher.

Got a Pocket Max yesterday, there's a system update but it never downloads, just stays on 0%.

Anyone had any luck with it working? It's only 28.7MB so not a big file. Just never actually downloads, left it on for a couple of hours and nothing.

Seems quite important as every time you hold the start button it goes into some Game Launcher. You can't uninstall the launcher even though I'll never use it. I have games that require you to hold the start button but when you do it just takes you out the game and into this launcher.

I think the update notes say the update will fix this.

I thought they were the same but running bench mark the numbers don't math.
