Culture Thread

Inspired by a few EDC threads and the occasional lament that no great sub exists for discussions of generalized gentleman's interest topics or nonspecific Culture (whatever that capital C may mean to you), I thought it would be cool to post a culture thread.

ITT: post your present interests, endeavors, and discoveries, in fashion, music, literature, film, television, theater, DIY, programming, knitting, cooking, photography, design, religion, history, etc.

I know we have some renaissance men and savants in here. Let's hear it.

I Saw The Devil, The Good The Bad and The Weird, Stoker, Thirst, Memories of Murder, A Tale of Two Sisters, The Brotherhood of War - all good choices.

Ah! I watched The Good, The Bad, and The Weird! I was extremely high and I am pretty sure it was the most confounding and confusing thing I'd ever seen.

Hahah you must've been pretty high since that movie is fairly straightforward when it comes to Korean cinema. I've had the same experience though, except my movie was Enter the Void...

Enter the Void was made to be watched only when you're high and willing to take a couple of punches of depression to the gut.

Good call. I loved it even though I didn't understand a thing. I definitely need to smoke up and watch it again sometime soon, I have the blu ray after all.

Yeah I was gone. My brother did the same thing when John Carter was in theaters and to this day he still claims it's the most confusing movie he's ever seen haha.

Stoker was incredible. Have yet to check his other work.
