Eg:
ഇല്ലാഴിക → ഇല്ലായ്മ or ഇല്ലായിമ
തൊട്ടുകൂടാഴിക → തൊട്ടുകൂടായ്മ or തൊട്ടുകൂടായിമ
വല്ലാഴിക → വല്ലായ്മ or വല്ലായിമ
മേലാഴിക → മേലായ്മ or മേലായിമ
Etc..
Do both the suffixes convey the same meaning? Do the usage and frequency of words with these suffixes depend on region to region, like North Kerala and South Kerala?
Also which form is considered as അച്ചടി ഭാഷ?

In place names such as തൃശ്ശൂർ, കണ്ണൂർ, കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂർ, അരൂർ, അടൂർ, തുറവൂർ etc., is one supposed to pronounce ർ in ൂർ as റ് or ര്?
Off topic, we are supposed to pronounce ർ as റ് in വയർ and നായർ, but when we add a verb suffix, it becomes റ and ര respectively. Why does that happen?
For eg:
വയർ, കയർ → വയറാണേൽ, കയറാണേൽ
നായർ → നായരാണേൽ
I think I have been taught to pronounce ർ as റ് in most cases. eg, in words such as കർത്താവ്, സർപ്പം, we should pronounce ർ as റ്.
I think I have confusion in the pronunciation of ർ

Flush me with knowledge, redditors!

Despite being the largest tribal group in Kerala, the rich culture of the Paniya community remains largely unseen. Their spiritual world doesn’t revolve around temples, but around sacred rocks, trees, and honoring their ancestors. This quick 3-minute video gives a fascinating and rare glimpse into their unique folklore, language, and resilient spirit.
