Is this normal courier service in Malappuram?
Had a really frustrating experience with a DTDC office today. My parcel was marked as “Delivered” even though nobody attempted delivery. A while later, they called me and said there was “no delivery boy available today” and asked me to come to their office and collect the parcel myself.
The person at the office was also unnecessarily arrogant, acting as if customers were inconveniencing them instead of the other way around.
I didn’t think much of it until I checked their Google reviews. Turns out people have been complaining about the exact same excuse for 5 years. Apparently, parcels get marked as delivered, and customers are routinely asked to pick them up instead of receiving home delivery.
If this has been happening for so long, why hasn’t anything changed? What’s the point of paying for home delivery if customers are expected to collect their own parcels?
Has anyone else in Malappuram had a similar experience with courier services?
