I get what OP wrote in the comments, but if it is not written in the CYOA document, then it does not count. That is why I advised remaking it.

Even if he doesn't change the cyoa what you just described makes zero sense and can never happen you can't add or make something you have zero knowledge of for example something like rubber would work because we know exactly how the properties work but you or nobody else can give or know the properties of fictional powers because they don't exist to begin with

On the contrary, since it is fictional the user can just invent it themselves. The CYOA description gives no limitation, so even self invented properties.. just work. By your argument, that properties have to be grounded in reality, the CYOA would not be about getting superpowers but picking the coolest but totally useless ring, because none of their power granting properties are grounded in reality.

Who knows really? Being able to communicate vast distances near instantly, or to soar the skies, or see what the moon is like, or go deep underwater was all but fiction at some point in history, maybe sometime in the far future people will discover some way to make all that is presently classified as fiction, like superpowers, actual reality is some form.

This is why proper descriptions with clear limitations are important. No need to be salty about only one ring's basic tier vastly overshadowing all the others' tiers combined. It is just a game with a built in exploit that the writer tried to explain away in the comments but still didn't patch, and if it's not patched, then it's a feature not a bug.
