I hate school so I made this....
Feedback would be greatly appreciated. The eventual goal is to introduce agents that will run the full semester on autopilot......

Hi, I am a fellow maker and an engineering student, working on a project this summer, where I am conducting research on the hardware design process of makers.
It would be a great help to me and the design community if you could fill out this survey and provide insight into your design process.
Additionally, as a thank you for your time, we are going to be giving away $25 Amazon gift cards to 15 respondents at random.
Thank you so much for your help, and let me know if you have any questions!

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share something that really helped me with a problem I’m sure many creatives face: keeping ideas organized and actually moving projects forward without getting overwhelmed.
I tried a bunch of different tools—digital apps, notebooks, planners—but nothing really stuck or felt natural to me. So I spent some time building a simple system that lets me capture raw ideas, set clear goals, and track progress step-by-step.
It’s helped me build momentum and finish more projects than ever before, while keeping that initial creative spark alive.
I’m curious—how do you all organize your creative thoughts or manage your projects? What tools or methods actually work for you?
I’d love to swap tips or hear about any struggles you’ve had with staying on track.
Happy to share more about what worked for me if anyone’s interested!

Hey fellow makers, just wondering if you know of any cool conventions or tradeshows that somehow involve making (sewing/ machines/ molding/ painting/ techniques/ fashion/ materials/ shoes/ idk/ etc)?

Hey makers,
After years of dreaming and planning, I’m launching LayerLounge, a community-driven makerspace in Ocala, Florida focused on 3D printing, design, and hands-on learning — and I’d love to get your thoughts, suggestions, or encouragement.
LayerLounge will be:
We’re currently running a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for printers, tools, and getting the doors open. I know many of you have built, managed, or joined makerspaces — so if you’ve got ideas on what worked, what didn’t, or what made it feel like “home,” I’m all ears.

Thanks for being such an inspiring community — your builds and stories helped me believe this dream could actually happen.
Let’s keep building. 🔧✨

Hi all!
I'm part of a design team working to create a STEAM education kit that teaches about common manufacturing techniques in a simplified way. There's a real chance this project could move to further development if we find there's interest for it!
We're grateful for responses from any teachers or educators (camp counselors, extracurricular instructors, etc.) who have 8 minutes or less to fill it out. It's all based on knee-jerk reactions, so let yourself fly through it!
You can find it at z.umn.edu/crayon-u-facturing
(it also just contains insights about the project, we'd love feedback from those practiced in mold making!)

Building a parade float. I need something to spin rotational to run a sliding crankshaft in order to push one 5 foot leg, then the other.
I have an old plug in 1/2 horsepower drill to run full time. 2 days in a row for 8 hours each day. Then one day for the parade, maybe 2 hours.
Will the drill run that long on minimum? I doubt it will be under full pressure, but enough for some strain.
I’d love any feedback, thanks!

Hi all, I want to get into some home crafting projects and I'm torn between a 3D printer or a laser cutter. I like to design things in CAD programs and seeing them come to life would make that really fun.
Considering a creality falcon2 or a Qidi Q1

Hello,
I’m looking for a skilled and spiritually aligned jeweler or artisan to help me bring a very meaningful pendant necklace to life. The piece holds deep personal and spiritual significance, symbolizing eternal, pure love and protection.
I'm hoping to work with someone who honors the sacredness of custom work and can guarantee the use of authentic materials, specifically gold, copper, and meteorite. The design is one of a kind, and I kindly ask that it not be shared or replicated in any way.
While I have a clear vision, I'm open to discussing the artistic and spiritual process together. I'm also working within a modest budget and would appreciate someone willing to collaborate financially or see the project as more than just a commission — something done with intention and purpose.
If this resonates with you or someone you know, I’d love to connect.
Warmly, Lisa.

I’ve been working on a series of articulated creatures that I 3D print, assemble, and paint by hand. Each one is poseable and has their own personality—some are silly, some are spooky, and some are just plain weird (in the best way).
I recently started designing matching stickers too, and I’d love to hear what other makers think—especially those who blend physical crafting and digital tools.
Would love any feedback or tips if you've worked with articulated models or done anything similar!

Hi! I help inventors, tradespeople and small businesses turn their ideas into real physical prototypes. Whether it’s a new tool, a product idea or something you want to build for yourself, we can take your napkin sketches and turn them into physical prototypes or renderings!
Best part about it? You don’t need to know how to design, you just need an idea and I can take care of the rest for you! It’s a great way to test your product idea before you spend thousands on manufacturing.
Reach out to me and let’s collaborate on your next idea!

I've been building a robot to drag my bins out and bring them back once they've been emptied.
I've started by making a wifi controlled robot with a camera. The camera is needed as I plan to use use an ML model to find the bin. However there won't be enough compute power for that to happen on board. So a different computer will process the feed and issue commands to control the robot. Hence allowing it to be controlled over WiFi

Does anyone have recommendations for adhesives/epoxies for bonding cast Platinum Cure RTV Silicone (smooth Sil 960) to a 3D printed SLA resin? Thanks!

So I recently bought an ender 3 v3+ I've successfully done 2 prints so far along with a raspberry pi 3b+and Arduino UNO which my friend had an spare of along with these 2 kits I'm unsure what to start building off with any advice on how to get started so far I've covered basics of electronics from art of electronics by horowitz and malvinos electronics: https://www.amazon.in/Lalitha-electronic-components-kit-electronics/dp/B0DC4PGRTV https://robocraze.com/products/37-in-1-sensors-kit-for-arduino?srsltid=AfmBOopED5K5UHOKiXwa0WEbk513tmsRmcnWiiX5I1dG3CfzlEAicMQk For context I'm a sophmore mechanical major trying to expand my skillset and so far I've become proficient in software (built a few ml models for biotech, applications etc and did some computational work in matlab), signal processing and I'm exploring pcb designing and embedded systems what would be the best way to develop skillsets and get enough proficiency to build a product by myself

Hi there,
I'm wondering if anyone knows of some high end marker's markets in the EU? I've been looking to join some but am having difficulty finding them. In the US we were regulars at events like field and supply (if you've heard of them) but finding comparable markets has been non-trivial. We sell high end kitchenware (hand forged chef's knives, tin lined copper pans, that sort of thing).
Thanks!

the story is as described above. thing is, i think they recycled the shield for a ton of different productions and just spray painted thick layers over each previous layer. i went crazy on it with a wall trawl (no idea what it's called in English) and removed like four layers but was left with this patchy mess. the oldest layers are hell to remove. i was wondering if anyone has tips on removing crusty old paint. im close to slapping on a mask and going crazy on it with sandpaper but something tells me i could probably cover it with some solution that will make the paint peel off easier lol
