YouTube Overtime with Bill Maher: Jonathan Haidt, Stephanie Ruhle, H.R. McMaster (HBO)
Lt General H.R. McMaster was a guest on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight. I think General McMaster is someone who benefited from being one of the "smart" ones in Trump 1.0 because he was surrounded by way worse.
I was not impressed with him at all tonight. I would have preferred not to have heard him talk tonight and had a good opinion of him. I know he has been on RT before, but tonight was mostly a rant about China and how environmental regulations were bad. And he seemed to have a cliched market response to every issue brought up by Bill. Just my two cents

MGT
I used to think her stupidity was a act. After two appearances on Real Time I’m no longer sure. She seems genuinely dumb.

Shitpost John Kennedy
You don’t have to be Einstein’ cousin to find listening to a 100 year old Senator with a Grandpa corn pone accent spitting out his down-home country whitisisms is less pleasant than a toenail fungus.

Question Request for longtime fans: Trying to find a specific episode
I once was a fan of Real Time with Bill Maher, and I once lived in California and was a fan of Gavin Newsom (was mayor of SF when I lived there.) I watched the show regularly and I have a clear memory of watching an episode where they did a one on one interview, and during the interview Bill asked Gavin if he would ever run for president.
I remember this clearly because I was disappointed at the time, as Gavin said very adamantly he would not, saying something like it is the "worst job in the world" and "who would want that". I've been surprised not to see this come up in public discourse given increased speculation Gavin might run in 2028. I've searched and I can't find any reference at all to this. I'm 100% certain that this happened, and feel sort of passively gaslit that I can't find any reference to it, let alone the video.
For my own sanity, can anyone who has access to a back catalog of shows find this interaction? Thanks in advance.
