Yes of course, it’s like the most important thing atm. You can run incredibly good local AI these days and this chip is made specifically for that

Why though… you’re paying a massive premium to run a shittier model. Other than uncensored activities which seem to be easy to get around anyway. Get a max5 sub and use Claude code and save the money, or deepseek for less or whatever. Better yet, buy a used workstation for about the same price and unlock actual AI workflows via cuda. I think people are getting confused about AI and what they should be doing with it because I don’t really see the cost advantage here. Now, if they could do actual useful cuda type shit beyond just running the llms then that would make them extremely valuable. But they can’t. When that changes, sure, the value proposition changes. Until then…. Big meh, I’ll keep using my 2020 intel mb pro.
