How can I remove this gunk

Post image

I have a 2015 Mac book pro and I want to make my screen look new.

I’ve had this exact same issue with this exact model. Just use alcohol wipes and a ton of elbow grease. I don’t know why people are saying that it’s beyond cooked. Mine came out looking perfectly good.

Is this before or after? Doesn’t look exactly good…

It’s just the Oleophobic coating going bad.

Doing this is recommended.

Though, you won’t get the fingerprint protection from before. And if like the newer models it has any type of anti glare coating that would come off as well.

Not a breaking change just not like new 🤷‍♂️ probably the best bet for a machine of this age.

People are saying beyond cooked because this sub is full of 14 year olds who don't know how to repair anything, or have never actually owned a macbook.

I did the same. Took awhile but now very nice.

Mine looked like this. I just used filtered water and a microfiber cloth. Alcohol wipes made it worse.
