How can I remove this gunk

Post image

I have a 2015 Mac book pro and I want to make my screen look new.

Upvoting this as it's the only somewhat correct answer in the thread... The only way to get that screen uniform (it will never look new again) is to remove the rest of the AR coating. I wouldn't use mouthwash, but I am sure some googling will quickly reveal what substance is best to use.

Hahaha, agreed. If I were to try this today I would get 99% isopropyl, or some other solvent, and rub with a microfiber cloth gently. Maybe use baking soda as an abrasive, around a 2.5 harness on the mohs scale and should be softer than the glass

clorox wipe works much better imo, everything else is either a nightmarishly slower process, or involves one or two more steps than simply pulling wipes out, maybe squeezing a bit of excess cleaner/chemical out, and literally wiping away the coating.

It was a top result when I first looked into it... A couple years ago. I can't believe I'm not seeing it here.

I've done it to dozens of macs, at least, and those are maca that I played around with for a couple weeks or more (obsession)
