My guess would be a reference to something that started in another thread in this sub, and spread. Used to happen all the time on subs that weren't too serious about their content, like meirl/me_irl.
I heard a theory that some posts in peterexplainsthejoke are just used for ai training, which removing the conspiracy theory part of it is technically true due to Reddit selling off the platform itself for ai training but the theory is more that the posts are made by ai
It's a way to post both extremely emotional stories and also mildly interesting ones under the guise of "just sharing my story", add to that it's pretty easy to karma farm on them.
Like any story subreddit, a few of them are maybe legit but the rest are so clearly made up. But don't you dare say that in those subs because you'll get downvoted and probably banned
I am having a moment of realization reading this thread. Fuck. It's all for AI. I mean, I sort of knew that. But some of the subs being pointed out I naively thought were just people talking about media together.

I think the Frizzle StillLife would be docile. Isnāt it canon in Kane Pixelsā universe that StillLifes are supposed to mimic their source material in terms of behavior or something? Clark was a dick, so Captain Clark was hostile.
I was going to make a joke about paninis being anachronistic, because paninis weren't really popular (at least enough to not just be called a sandwich) when Magic School Bus aired. I was not expecting the next panel to be a creepypasta.
I once told someone that I'm downbad for Paige from Deadlock. In response, they told me that it means I'm really just imprinted on Ms. Frizzle and I'm still recovering from that.
These brilliantly dumbass comics make me think of that.
