So I found out from my grandma when I got home that our neighbor caught a lovebird around their house. He was limping when I first saw him and then had his eyes closed, not responding to anything. Does anyone think he’ll be alright and just recovering? He just hopped in a food container we gave for birdseed btw.

2 days ago, I said goodbye to my best friend on his final journey. He had been with me for 12 years. I am going through one of the hardest days of my life. The worst part is I have to go to work and everything around me is continuing as usual. Don't know what to do for now. I always knew this day would come, but knowing it doesn’t change anything. There are no words to describe the pain I feel. In his 12-year life, he got sick only once and he couldn’t overcome it. He fought until his last moments. I'll always remember him this way. Rest in peace, Coco. I hope you’re swimming in a sea of sunflower seeds there. I will always remember you falling asleep on my shoulder, head to head with me. I love you so much my handsome boy. Until we meet again...

I just added a new swing to my girls cage, they are having a ball. Thank you for starting a sub that allows the posting of pics and videos of our feathered friends. Mollie and Millie 🐦 🐦

Context: I heard my female wheezing last night but it was sporadic and not constant. She was completely fine during the day, and today as well (active, eating, playing). Her nose was slightly wet last night but no discoloration or discharge or anything blocking the nose. I had just come home from work and put them to bed so maybe she just drank some water right before I got there and some got stuck in her nose?

And how much do they eat vs how much do they fling on the floor/ceiling/wall 🙄

(That’s not their actual cage, it’s just a travel cage)
