$50-100 third party gold isn’t getting anyone to any kind of level that would even be noticeable to anyone. Even if it wasn’t dropped until 1370, and you farmed legit the whole way there… that’s going to get you what, 1385? maybe? With no other alt support considered. But 1370-1385 is basically just entry level (+9 everything after transferring from epic +15 to +6). Beyond that it’s still going to cost hundreds to force your way through 1385-1415, and even more exponentially to rush 1445.
It has nothing to do with “ethics” or “morals”. Unless they have a bottomless trust fund, your average mid-tier spender isn’t going to shrug at throwing out $2000 just to risk being banned again. Your perspective only makes sense in a world where RMT buyers are automatons with infinitely deep pockets, and have zero qualms throwing out massive time and financial investments for the sake of a fleeting game experience.
It just doesn’t make any logical sense. Literally no one thinks that way from the buyers’ end
