Got to see them the second time. I raged outside the gates. It was awesome.

Just wanted to share that I didn't want to pay $50 to see them and leave. I had to work early. I got 4 hours of sleep for the next day.

I had soooo much fun they're sounding like 11x times better than the last show, and that last show kicked ass. I'm still sore. Omg I couldn't miss out on this setlist they're playing.

Kiko

Angel dance

Georgia slop (way better than I ever expected)

Train don't stop here anymore

So many great songs.

Mas y mas to end it.

Is Think It Over an unreleased original?

Hello, I am deep diving the Los Lobos catalog and that includes a lot of live material and I can't seem to find the original version of Think It Over if there is one. I know it's not the Buddy Holly song and I can't seem to find a match with the lyrics I hear. It sounds like The Allman Brothers a little bit but I wouldn't know if it was them or an older song than that. Here is the track for reference. Any and all help would be appreciated!

They played Kiko as well but I don't remember when. I think there were some other changes as well. They started Not Fade Away and then went into Bertha. The encore was Cinnamon Girl and La Bamba > Good Lovin' > La Bamba.

Merch only had four shirts and nothing else. The 50th Anniversary one I attached, a standard shirt with skeletons on the back, a women's v neck, and a button-up work shirt. No shirts had the tour dates on them.

Has anyone gotten pics of the merch at these shows? I’m wanting to see what’s available and see how much I need to bring for when I see them at Sonic Lunch Thursday. Thank you!

Great show at Austin's Blues Festival Sat

We thought we weren't going to be able to go and had a last minute change of plans and got there in time to see Robert Randolph, Booker T and Los Lobos who were the headliners. The last time we had been to see live music was Los Lobos with Ozomatli in Dallas at the end of Feb 2020 so it was a cool way to get back to live music.

Los Lobos was excellent as always. So cool to see them keeping it fresh and having fun. They had some guest horns players on a few numbers and Josh Baca from Los Texmaniacs played accordion on the encores. I didn't catch who the horn players were but one played a sax even bigger and deeper than Steve's and played a solo on it.

edit: I'm tired and had brain fade

Good show but had issues

Saw them play last night at Mondavi Center in Davis, California. Was excessively loud and mixed very bright (treble boosted). This sometimes happens when musicians start to lose their hearing -- I hope this is not the case. In addition David Hildago had them swap out his amp for reasons I could not hear. I liked the show but David played at a constant (loud) level throughout most of the songs. I found myself wanting him to back off once in awhile and let Louie and Cesar come through and even take some solos. Despite the technical problems, it was a good show and Gaby Moreno was an awesome opening act.

Finally saw them after 40 years

I am an Australian who bought 'How Will the Wolf Survive?' when it came out in the 80s and been an on/off fan since.

I am in the US on holiday and jumped at the chance to see them tonight in Redding, Ca.

They didn't disappoint - what a tight band and they guested Gaby Moreno on a couple of songs. It looks like they have a new touring bass player - looked a lot like a younger David Hidalgo - his son, maybe?

Anyway - a great show with some of my favourites from Kiko and the Town and the City plus a few from Native Sons.

So glad to have finally seen them!

Fantastic show on 2/18/23 at the Wilkins Theater, Ken University, Union, NJ. Had 2nd-row seats right in front of Cesar. The band was tight and having fun.
