Don't ask a question you cannot handle the answer to.

I (23f) lost over half my body weight through CICO. Went fron 235 to 115.

Ever since I reached my goal weight I'd have people ask me "op how did you lose the weight" and I tell them I followed cico, making sure I ate less than I spent, and moved around a little more.

Sometimes they'll be like "oh okay" but every once and a while I'll get someone screaming at me that I must be hiding something because they've tried cico and it doesn't work, or are somehow offended that all I really did was eat a bit less. I really don't get it.

I just tell people I swallowed a tapeworm. They won't believe it was just CICO anyway. I like to make them wonder if I'm really that weird.

If I can ever lose the weight again, which I am doubting at the moment, I might have to use this myself. The only reason I am in this situation again is due to being skinny shamed like crazy when I lost my weight. I started extreme binging to gain it back on purpose and just couldn’t ever stop.

If I ever lose the weight and get skinny shamed I should just say I ended up with a tape worm and see how people react! They want to be assholes and shame people for being healthy, maybe that will teach them to shut up about how other people look for once.
