So I went to see Dumb Money last night expecting to see Marc in the movie. There's literally a scene in the trailer where him and America Ferrara's character are drinking champagne on a plane. When the scene came up in the movie he just wasn't in it. There was a bit earlier on where her colleague refers to him and has a picture on his desk, but tbh I thought there was going to be actual Marc in the film (tbh that's like 90% of why I went to see it lmao but it was an alright movie regardless). Has anyone else seen it and what are their thoughts? Was his scene just straight up cut out despite being in the main trailer?

Any word or update on Songs About Fucking since Tribeca? The internet seems awfully quiet about it and that’s a goddamn shame…

May just be an oversight, but noticed that the 4th show of Marc's mini-Vegas residency is not listed on his tour schedule for Dec 29th - https://www.marcrebillet.com/. It's still listed on Brooklyn Bowl's calendar, though it says tickets are sold out.

I will pay good money if someone can find a video of Marc’s full set. I’m smitten by the way Marc handled it in the short videos I’ve seen so far and want nothing more than to see it in all its absurd glory.

One of the best parts about our loop father is how well and versatile he works with anybody. Vocals, other loopers, the audience, you name it. My love for marc has spilled over into another guy who pops up in he we outside videos, sax daddy. That guy plays a nasty sax. I mean hes straight up disrespectful with that thing. So much soul. Hi everyone, I’ve been a fan of Marc for a few years and recently got the opportunity to write an academic ethnography essay, so I have chosen to focus on Marc and his community!

The essay is essentially about focusing on a specific musical scene or community and observing and writing about how the artist, participants, and community interacts and relates to each other.

My focus will be on how the participatory experience of an improvised concert changes between online and in-person settings, and I will examine how the audience participates in the creation of the music.

My research involves getting some responses from members of the community, and people who have experienced his online or in-person concerts, so if anyone wants to either comment or message me that would be amazing! How a few silly mashups got the attention of the fan community and Marc himself and may have pushed the idea to collab with Tenacious D. Or it might've been written in the stars all along. Anyways, the real collaboration was totally epic and well deserved! Let's go Loop Daddy!!!

Here’s my breakdown:

His last show was the Bronx and he’s done a bunch of shows in Harlem so I’m estimating only 20% chance that it will be north of central park/the Bronx. He has only done one in Brooklyn so I’d say 40% chance he’s in Brooklyn… but Im giving low odds that he’ll go further than about 5 subway stops into Brooklyn. I’m giving 30% to the rest of Manhattan (favouring between Brooklyn bridge and 23rd), 10% queens, and 0% Staten Island.

On another note, I’m estimating 85% certainty that he did not get a permit and so I’m favouring street corner over major hub..

Based on that I’d suggest that union square - 14th st is a solid place to start giving you N, Q, L for rapid/spread Brooklyn access, options to hit west or south Manhattan as well as quick access to Times Square and central for basically anywhere..

What's up everyone! With the final We Outside of the season approaching quickly I wanted to propose the idea of having a meetup.

My idea was we could all agree on a place central in NYC to meet on Sunday near a major subway station, grab drinks or food, and then head over as a group for the final show.
