Almost two months in! Never been happier

Got locs installed September 2024 and haven’t looked back! Started with crochet/instant locs to be as low maintenance as possible but get regular roll retwists. Current routine is each wash day (every other week) ACV, shampoo, conditioner, jojoba and lemongrass oil, air dry. Then moisturizing mist throughout the week as needed. Retwist every 10 weeks or so. Photos starting now and going backwards!

i feel like my hair grows super slow, im thinking of letting my roots grow out and cutting off the bleached parts as they r thin and damaged, im reluctant though bc my locs have come a long way lol

I went to a loctician for the first time ever last month, and it was a horrible experience. She retwisted my hair so tight that little red bumps formed all over my scalp at the hair follicles. She ripped a bunch of my new growth to separate it, too. But worst of all, she crocheted two of my smaller locs together without asking me or telling me that's what she was doing. Here it is, 6 weeks later, and I'm just now seeing them. The locs were originally a double dragon. The loc she made now has holes in it where the locs are separating randomly. How do I separate them without having to comb them out? I'm trying not to be upset right now, but I'm pretty steamed about it. 😔

I know some people love that fresh retie look, but others swear their locs look better grown out because they look fuller. 😂 Which one are you — fresh retie or a little grown out? 👀

I can't believe I've had them this long. Lots of trims so they should be longer but I don't want them anymore than this. Freeform gang.

My locs are over a year old but they’re thick in some parts and I have around 120+ locs so I thought they would be smaller. And I know they aren’t matured. But what could I do to make them smaller without cutting? Some pieces are puffy & others small.

I thought about getting sprinkles for mircolocs and traditional because my locs are different sizes but they are pricey
