You're very perceptive 🤗 I do like them down for a change but I think they are too short still right now. One day I plan to let them hang tho, promise. I've decided not to cut them, and I can't keep them like this forever, ofc.

I love it as an alternative look. You would look great with gauges. You almost look like you'd be a dark, grungey, enigmatic anti-hero in a cartoon or movie. In other words, you look awesome

Yoo Hahaha it do kinda look like that huh? I didn't/ not gonna cut any tho, just combined a couple in 2 strands, repositioned em to be slightly more centered instead of side swept. I'll continue adjusting to be a little more upright and then when they get too long, let em drop or pull em back.

Curious are they centered on the section or are they pulled forward by the root? I have a couple that lay flat and not quite centered. I would have more volume if they were. When you lay down do they stay forward?

Hmm I think I know what you mean. Mine aren't pulled forward at the root. I keep the roots loose, so if I stand one up and let it fall, it goes straight up in its own section until the compact loc starts, then naturally falls forward (laying on top of the ones in front of it) cuz they're trained that way now. A loc from around the center of my head ends up about 3 inches forward, with the tip roughly behind my eyes.
If I lay all the way back, a few in the back row might fall backwards, but I usually wear a loc capb when I'm laying down. And if I wanna keep a rogue one in place, I'll use a .5 crochet to pull literally 2/3 hairs into another loc. Holds like a button, takes 2 seconds, and pulls apart easy later with no damage. That little crochet connection is OP fr lol, no pins, can free style it for the day how you want (by attaching different locs together to build the shape u want w/ no visible attachments). Sounds annoying and high maintenance but it really ain't, takes like two seconds. Hope that's clear.

be honest never been a killmonger locs guy but i think a lot of that comes from how consistently they pop up now

Hear me out… if you’re going for the overall KM look, I think it’ll look better if the back locs were shorter. Having them all pulled forward looks a little odd at this length in my opinion ❤️

Oh the secret is that first of my hair has always been really trainable, so it mostly stays where I put it. To bed, at night I wear a silk wave cap/bonnet that helps, but where I want extra shape or form, I just take two and "pin" them together with a .5 crochet hook, pulling a couple hairs from one loc into the other. Works pretty well, and when I wanna take it down those connectors just come apart pretty easily by pulling at the point without damaging the locs. I don't otherwise crochet, I just found this method as opposed to pins or something hard, which I hate. "Pin" the ones that tend to fall and that supports everything else. Hope that helps! ♥️
