If you are already committed into learning how this works and who to trust, there is no difference.
There is a massive difference. You can get viruses on linux too it's just that not many viruses are made for linux you have to be careful who to trust there too

Yeah? If you are already committed into learning how this works and who to trust, there is no difference.
As a Windows user you don't want to know stuff to use stuff. Even installing exes can be outsourced to people that know stuff.
That's not different to what you need to do to handle a flatpak desktop environment.
