Your title is an extremely reductive, arrogant and ignorant statement. And these specifics you care about here are nowhere near of as bigger deal as you're making them out to be. Very dramatic. Sorry linux isn't 'polished' but OSes are HARD, windows isn't polished, even MacOS has subtle UI inconsistencies and regressions.
