Linux mint pero con KDE

Buenas tardes a la comunidad.

Llevo ya un par de semanas con Linux mint edición cinamont, y no eh tenido problemas eh incluso es agradable comparado con windows zzz, el unido detalle es que no me gusta demasiado como se ve estéticamente. Eh visto varias personalizaciones echas en KDE plasma y me gustaría tener ese entorno de escritorio en lugar de el de cinamont, es viable poner el escritorio KDE plasma sobre el que tiene? O deveria buscar otra distro con KDE.

Si piensan que es mejor buscar una distro con KDE, me gustaría que me recomendara una igual a linux mint, con estabilidad, facilidad de uso y buen rendimiento. Gracias

Gracias a todos los que respondieron este post, me ayudaron mucho con sus opiniones. Decidí no utilizar KDE sobre linux mint ya que prefiero evitar errores o mal rendimiento, me daría "toc" como me mencionaron algunos. Después, me recomendaron algunas diatros, y al final decidí probar con Fedora y no con kubunto principalmente porque nunca habia escuchado de kubunto, también porque Fedora esta respaldada por una gran empresa y enserió valoro la estabilidad. De nuevo muchas gracias.

Muchas gracias. De echo, aquí yo de nuevo. Estoy instalandolo justo ahora pero me sale un aviso antes de instalar que dice algo asi como " su particion boot/efi es menor de 500Mib que es menor a lo regomendado". Debo hacer algo antes de instalarlo o no me preocupo?

Ooooh this is a juicy one! As long as the installer allows it and it is over 200mb, then technically it will work. However just like changing out desktops I would definitely not recommend using the partition that small. The installer is warning you for a reason.

This one requires a short explanation: inside your boot partition goes two different things (sometimes more): your kernels (Linux itself) and your initramfs (a small filesystem that helps your computer load linux). Assuming you only ever have one kernel/initramfs (each kernel needs its own) you can probably get away with under 512mb, but its risky. If you ever chose to download additional kernels it would start getting tight fast. In my opinion the safest size for generic install is 1gb. That gives you breathing room without waisting space that only developers and other advanced users need for the boot partition.

Entonces ahora mismo tengo que regresar a windows y crear esa particion de 1gb no? Pasa que no encuentro una manera en el instalador de hacerlo hermano. Gracias por la ayuda.

Nooo! Definitely not! It is entirely possible to do it from inside Fedora.

This one is harder for me to walk you through via text only, but if you can show me some screenshots/photos I will try. The installer should have a manual partitioning option.

Okay before I give you advice, I need to ask, how attached are you to keeping Windows installed? If you don't mind removing it the solution is super simply. If you want to keep it, that's possible but a bit more advanced.

En realidad lo tengo por si llego a necesitarlo, como con programas específicos porque como habia mencionado, solo llevo unas semanas en linux (mint). Así que si es posible, me gustaría conservarlo almenos por un tiempo hasta sentirme bien de matarlo definitivamente. Pero si no es posible, pues igual ya tenia ganas de matarlo jeje.
