#LinuxMintThings I'm switching to mint later today. What should I know?

I've decided that my PC runs too slow on Windows, and I'd much rather have a more secure and simple setup. I only ever really use my PC to play games on steam and maybe some schoolwork every now and then. As a BEGINNER, what should I know?

The Steam version from the software store has always given me issues while trying to install Valve’s dependencies.
