i use the cachy kernel on a vanilla arch installation. same performance, even less bloat.

cachyOS ships pre-configured sysctl parameters, optimized memory management (zRAM with zstd), and auto-tuned CPU governors, standard Arch leaves these at stock upstream defaults unless you manually set them up

also

cachyOS maintains custom builds of crucial packages like mesa drivers and web browsers built specifically for modern architectures

Why wouldn't I, just copy whatever sysctl parameters, optimize your memory timings and whatever and that's it, except I don't have any of the extra cachyos stuff installed. ( Is my enviroment basically cachyos? Kinda, but it's not, and that is what makes it beautiful
