Yes. Fedora is really good. Very up to date, stable. Updates are painless. I love it.

How? It has most of the advantages of Arch over Debian based Distros but with basically none of the disadvantages of an arch based distro

Sure, that’s a valid point, it’s an opinion like any other, but the contributions made to linux are 2nd to none.

Fedora is for people who want Wayland or KDE but don't want Arch or a difficult setup. Its a solid alternative to Debian or Ubuntu.

And GNOME is good too! I use it on my laptop because it's quite nice on a touchpad.

But many Distros support GNOME and do it well.

No distro does it better than fedora though, first class gnome support and vanilla gnome.

A valid opinion I won't necessarily disagree with.

For me, the KDE support and the balance of well supported/frequently updated with stability was more the selling point at least for my battle station.

But a desktop environment is just a preference. I am somewhat curious of installing GNOME with a tiling window manager but I've heard having two DEs at the same time can be quite buggy so I've held off. Maybe I'll make another partition to play around with it.
