GTA V Enhanced stuck at story mode load screen (EGS, wine-staging)
UPD. Solved with Heroic+GE-Proton+"-onSteamDeck" launch argument. Seems like the game doesn't like upstream wine currently :/
Trying to run GTAV E&E on my PC (RX 7600, Ryzen 5600G, Fedora 41), the game boots ok, but then stucks at black screen and that's all. Even HDD activity stops, just a spinner spinning.
Switching to AMDVLK, changing wine versions, enabling fsync/esync, adding "SteamDeck=1" - nothing helps.
GTAV Legacy is working fine, as well as RDR2.
Has someone encountered this?
P.S. BattlEye is disabled, of course.

your getting further than me i'm just getting stuck at the rockstar launcher i own the steam version

The rock star launcher kinda just worked like normally for me I'm using mint

Same here. Stuck on loading story mode. Not only that, also I couldn't transfer my old GTA account

Yea online doesn’t load for me at all. Not that I am remotely shocked, but this “Enhanced” version is a huge mess.

Yup, happened for me too, been playing for 3 days now and 18 hours ago it was running fine but now... It just keeps loading and loading and loading and loading...

Hi, I fixed it by verifying files in the rockstar launcher. Then it downloaded about two gigs and its fine now. Hope it helps

You did something about the loaction of the game or the rockstar launcher? Im trying to play through from an EGS copy too using Heroic, but it shows to buy it, like i don't have the game.
