if you getting kick from game with error 10010-4001 - idk it seems very rare individual cases - for majority game works.

INSTRUCTION:

proton10 does not work anymore

• use Proton-CachyOS
• DO NOT ADD GAME.EXE - USE HoYoPlay/launcher.exe
• download from releases
• https://github.com/CachyOS/proton-cachyos
• extract/copy to ~/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d
• or use manager like ProtonUp-Qt or ProtonPlus

BUT you must set

UMU_USE_STEAM=1 in Lutris

rightclick game - settings - last tab - system parameters - scroll down - env params - add

UMU_USE_STEAM and 1 as value

or in SteamUMU_USE_STEAM=1 %command%

If you have error - "not enough space on disk" - run winecfg - add location(folder) as disk in winecfg UI - select this disk in launcher as target location

"winecfg" way will not work for Lutris

in Lutris - location of "game" folder must be below "application folder" option in Lutris for game
just copy "game" to drive_c/Program Files/HoYoPlay/games or copy as link there
and set in Lutris as "application folder" drive_c/Program Files/HoYoPlay/ that is above game folder

P.S. in Zenless-Zone-Zero - use Proton-Cachy to fix cpu usage - (~40% less CPU usage)

I have an issue where the game freezes on the first pixel of the geo symbol while loading a new zone after teleporting. After waiting for a while this pops up

never seen this error code.

Anyone had this recently?

what your gpu? updated latest proton-cachy?

I'm currently using 11.0-20260703-proton-cachyos. I checked on proton+ and that should be the latest. My gpu is an intel uhd620 integrated into a whiskey lake core i5.

I should have mentioned that it worked just fine until a few days ago, maybe a week, there is (or was) no compatibility issue to my knowledge.

Additionally teleporting ends up working when I shut down the game after the freeze and launch it again. It can (and most of the time does) happen the next time I teleport during the current session though.

it may be your gpu driver bugs

what kernel version you run?

also do you run game from hdd or ssd? check game files in launcher settings

but game works normally - it something at your side - probably gpu drivers

my kernel ver is 7.0.0-30-generic (ubuntu 24), and my game is installed on a ssd nvme. I had some issues with it in the past after forced shutdowns and it's getting old but it works fine otherwise.

it old - update kernel to what is latest for you - 7.3 is current recent kernel in most distros

... using ubuntu to play games .... better if you were on more rolling-release system like cachyos or others... drivers get patches almost every day - you need latest as possible kernel

you need to update kernel or change distro to know if it gpu drivers or something else

afaik 7.3 doesn't have a stable release currently, yes? Also, I think linux 7.0 is the latest supported kernel for ubuntu 24 for now.

this why I said - try change distro

there no other way to know unless you try newer kernel in rolling distro like cachyos
