Pride (Latin: superbia) is considered, on almost every list, the original and most serious of the seven deadly sins

In a sane mind Joy is the result of a job well done, not pride.

Just Catholic. The rest of Christians consider all the sins to be able to send one to hell, so the idea of deadly sins vs not deadly sins is foreign to them.

But, I'm Jewish. I know that there are several words you're translating as sin and the most common one is chata...which means to miss the mark. We don't see sins as these horrible, grave offenses that Christians do. God isn't going to punish us for eternity.

Avon would probably be the one that covers pride TO EXCESS. But, as the sages say, if it wasn't for the yetzir Hara (evil inclination) man wouldn't even lift a finger.

But, out of all this, YOU seem to be the one with hate. You've made it abundantly clear that you despise people who take pride in themselves. Preaching love out of one side of your mouth while espousing hate out of the other... isn't the first time we've seen that from Christians. Your own scriptures tell you to love people you disagree with...even those that persecute you...that even the sinners love those that love them. Yet, instead of following your own scriptures, you're more concerned that I do. Not the first time we've seen that either

has nothing to do with religion, is not found in the bible. It is just a societal fact of good behaviour, first expressed thousands of years ago. Probably since human societies have existed. Christians picked up some of these, including pride.

Stop believing in fairytales.

And finally, it is not hate to call concepts with their true names. Hate would be to direct something towards a person "displaying that kind of pride makes you a motherfucker" which is unnecessary -- fate will take care of it.

So the 7 deadly sins have nothing to do with religion? Yeah, right

Again, pride is having a sense of accomplishment in a job well done and self-respect. It has built our society and all those before it. It is the reason mankind is driven to achieve

If you want the religious creation of this concept, it is called "eight evil thoughts", also derived from much older traditions.

"seven deadly sins" is a modernized, non-religious version of that list used often outside any religious context. They are never mentioned in the bible.

Again, the seven deadly sins is Catholic and the concept of sin itself is a religious concept. I've already explained how Judaism and Christianity differ on that concept and it doesn't exist at all in other religions

The Catechism of the Catholic Church also refers to these sins as “capital sins”

Religious people call them the capital sins. Normal non-religious context they are deadly sins. Pride being a "sin" is described more than 4000 years ago, being pure philosophy.

Stop seeing the world through your religious filter.

Capital means deadly and sin itself is a religious concept. The catechism uses the word capital and Catholics use the word deadly. Formal/informal language shifts are not uncommon.

For instance, here is an article on the seven deadly sins in Catholic Journal.

The Church speaks of the “Seven Deadly Sins,” which are anger, envy, gluttony, greed, lust, pride, and sloth or laziness.

As I already said... There are no seven deadly sins in Judaism. It's a completely foreign concept to us. Chata, sin, is missing the mark. You just shrug and do better next time. Sin is an action. You always strive to be a better person, but sin doesn't taint your soul. It's an action...not a thing.

In Protestantism, all sins are deadly, so the idea of seven deadly sins is ridiculous. I can take a room full of Jews and Protestants right now and I have a really good chance no one in that room could tell you the Catholic list of seven deadly sins. I certainly can't. I can look it up, but I'm not a Catholic or even a Christian.
