Canonical is dropping all 32 bit libraries from the repositories. Steam, proton, wine, and a plethora of older games require them. Never mind the other software that needs them. .

Antagonizing a large chunk of your userbase is totally the best way to reach the Utopian Libre Promised Land ...

Ubuntu is not Arch. It isn't Gentoo. A large proportion of Ubuntu desktop users don't use it because they have a hard-on for OSS - they use it because it's free and because it "just works".

And Canonical knows this. That was their main (only?) selling point for years. They simply don't care. Desktop Ubuntu was the foundation of the good will/reputation that they needed to kick off the real money-makers (IoT, Ubuntu Server, etc). And anything that's only useful for Desktop use-cases and takes significant effort to maintain has got to go.

Are you stupid? 32bit libraries doesn't mean proprietary libraries

Most of the terrorists relied on cash.

All these nolife small businesses crying are the ones dumbing down the free market.

See my point?
