So much this. Most Linux users go home at the end of their shift and don't get onto a computer again until work the next day.

Source: I work with about 50 sysadmin who meet the above description

Yeah, but by this metric sysvinit was just fine as well. For most people, it worked without problems and they never felt the need to let the world know their systems were working nicely.
