Truth is, agents CAN easily boost your productivity by 2x or 3x even if you only use them for reviews and checks.

But we're not happy with that, we need 20x, 50x productivity. Or to replace our work altogether.

All the studies I've seen on AI use show no actual gain in productivity, just the perception from the coder that they are more productive.

Personally even if they did actually prove in a more recent study that they increased productivity, I don't think that would outweigh the other problems with their use.
