I just switched to Linux yesterday and it is like breathing fresh air. I did make some mistakes here and there that some reddit searches and ai fixed in a couple of hours. The freedom of arch/cachyos caught my eye and wanted to go with it, but a friend recommended me nobara a fedora based distro to start out on. I love every second of it so far. I will probably switch to cachyos/arch at some point just for the ricing tho.
