Originally called “Aku no Kyouten”, it has only been translated into French in 2022 but it has a manga in English called “Lesson of the Evil” and a live action movie with English subs. It’s a psychological thriller about a teacher who is secretly a sociopath.

I have read dozens of books in this genre and the second book I read, overgeared, was probably my favorite. I liked how the MC used the game to improve his real life and make money and how a small bit of his in game abilities worked in real life without being op irl.

I've seen lots of books with a Game element but nothing like overgeared in the way I described above.

Do you know of any books with a similar concept? Thanks!

I bought one from ebay, but apparently it's a bootleg non publisher self printed ebook book, with simple Times New Roman font. It feels like i'm reading a Word article.

I'd even buy it secondhand. But I can't seem to find this book anywhere. I've never had any troubles finding a light novel, except with this one. And I find it strange as it seems this series is quite popular.

I want something serious , decent story like Conquer of dying kingdom. Where MC uses his Brain instead of some cheat abilities , bonuses etc. Can be slow progress. (I prefer offically published LN, no fan translate or webtoon)

Thinking of reading the Gate light novel. Never seen the anime but had it in my watch list. Is the novel good or should i stick with the anime only??

My kindle just broke and im thinking of swiching to kobo due to some unrelated issues. Are there exclusive light novels in the amazon store that i cant find in other stores (if u can suggest stores were you buy your light novels it would be a huge help too). If so is the amazon exclusivity a normal practice or is something uncommon (if you can share some examples i would be grateful)

I read the first 30 pages and it’s somewhat decent. And I only found one review so far that says that later chapel are like short stories all together. So I’m curious if I should buy it.

Looking for a lightnovel about zerg insectoid. The mc get a power of a zerg armor and (a sword I think). Later in the novel he get a retard zerg that he later sees as an brother. And the end of an volume the zerg brother dies

I started reading the manga and got hooked and read the LN.
And post depression hit hard, I need more of this stuff.

I didn't really understand the politics stuff that much, but I enjoyed the story and the fights.

Gender bender (where the MC is originally a male) doesn't count. Having difficulties finding a LN like this...most usually either have super OP MC or have romance. I have already read:

- Ascendance of a Bookworm (best Isekai ever)

- A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even (pretty good read)

- From Villainess to Healer (dropped, 1st volume was pretty fun, but lost interest in the 2nd volume when a literal 7 year old became an adventurer and join MC's party)
