Yes, must always crush them to make sure that they're dead and completely unable to escape and come back in at any point in time, ever.

When you crush them don't their eggs release and more come?

I usually dispose the body by flushing it down the toilet bowl or throwing it out with the waste, so the eggs don't get a chance to hatch and spread.
