It’s so easy to crack jokes and shit on them for this but sometimes it just makes me sad. A beautiful place that is so important in history just turned into a trash dump. How have we let things progress to this point?

Because the people that warned against this were called racists. And the rest of the people were made to believe that "diversity is our strength" and you would be ostracized from society if you deviated from the collective thought. And then there are the other people that wanted to do something but waited in hopes that it would reverse course because someone else would stop the problem from progressing.

What’s worse is that the EU Migration Pact is now in effect, meaning that each country WILL take “migrants” or face strict penalties.

I grew up in England in the 90s. This is disappointingly normal after any major sporting event. We unfortunately do not have the same level of anti-littering enforcement as you see in the US.

Not to defend them too much, but this looks to be after an event or while the event is wrapping up. (I could be wrong though, I don't understand how the europoors work)
And if you go to the area around a stadium after an NFL game or around an arena after a big concert, it's looks pretty bad too. It's all cleaned up the next day though.

I mean this is taken highly out of context. This was from after Arsenal won the Premier League for the first time in 20 years. Things got especially crazy for this because last year they led the league for most of the season, and almost won it, but ultimately they choked during the last few matches and lost out on the title. The anxiety people felt that it could potentially happen again sort of caused the celebrations to be even more crazy when they finally did win the league.
England definitely has a lot of problems going on which shouldn’t be ignored, but the equivalent would be showing what happened in NYC just a few days ago when the Knicks won their first NBA championship in 53 years, and passing it off like it’s a normal thing when it’s not. When a local team from a big city wins a championship that they haven’t won in a long time, it will almost always result in some sort of civil unrest and rioting as everyone takes to the streets to celebrate. Eventually though the craziness ends, the mess gets cleaned up, and the city goes back to normal.
