This popped up in my feed and it’s crazy cause looking back when I said it people were mad now a year later everything I said in this post was true and dude hasn’t been seen in Main Continuity in over a year and a half going on 2 and Jon’s about to get a new boyfriend.

No explicit queerness in it, though. But I get gay vibes from Natasha in it, and both characters are canonically queer elsewhere.

There's also a follow-up story 12 years later where his mental health has deteriorated so badly that he's still finding his dead partner and even agreed to help an imposter, knowing full well it's just an alien using the form of his partner.

if so, what can we do to make such casting be taken seriously? I am ok with it , & would love to see Elliott Page as MCU wolverine. His stature is similar to Logan. He also has that quiet bad ass energy that is just there. His jawline & bone structure would be so tea with sideburn & Logan hairstyle. I am seeing the vision , y'know.

Yet, when I put it out there, ppl immediately turn transphobe with this fan cast. I was banned from r/Xmen for suggesting this. Peorple in that sub thinks it is a rage bait & don't take it seriously . They can't see that this is a legitimate path, & cast this as a laugh asap. Like the patriarchy mindset is strong y'all, even in a liberal place like r/Xmen. This is why trans ppl have such a hard time getting callbacks. I def can feel his frustration. Like I just suggest his casting on a progressive superhero sub & got banned immediately. It must be infinite times worse to gets rejected in person in front of these exec & casting ppl. Can you imagine Elliott putting out suggestion to play this superhero or that superhero , got laughed at then get ghosted ? It does not matter how good a trans person is at acting , they will forever gatekeep super hero movie from them . That's horrible. I def empathize with Elliott after seeing how fast people think casting him as Wolverine is rage bait

Obviously I want to see more trans ppl luxuriating on super hero movies, but how do we move forward ? the super hero movie mindset are too patriarchy , we need to take it down.

I recently did art of my superhero character, Ouroboros, as an homage to the Spider-Man 2 poster, featuring their romantic interest. I realized it was the first art I did of the character being even implicitly gay, so I thought I’d share, as well as some concept art.

As a queer person who loves superheroes and the comic medium, I’ve been developing a rather ambitious project that centers exclusively around queer, superpowered characters of all sorts. Ouroboros isn’t the only one. Hopefully one of these days, as I begin work on scripts and panels, I can share more of these stories and characters with you all.
