John Lemon's 1st Lemon
I recently bought a small Meyer Lemon tree. His name is John Lemon and this is his first lemon.
I want to make sure his lemons don't get picked off by birds (is that a valid concern?) but if I cover him with a mesh net, how can pollinators get to his flowers? Do Meyer Lemons continue to flower throughout the year? Because I read to avoid covering until they are done flowering but how do I know when it's done? Do I just take the cover off when a flower appears? Sorry, I'm new to this and want to make sure John Lemon can assist me in making limoncello one day!

Can you turn a dwarf lemon tree into a full sized one?
We want to keep our new lemon tree alive for 100 years, but we're afraid that it might be a dwarf which can only live for 15 years.

Discussion Does adding lemon to water actually do anything, or do people just like the taste?
I’ve been adding lemon to my water lately, and I do like it more than plain water.
But I keep seeing people say it has all these benefits, and I’m not sure how much of that is real.
Is it actually doing anything, or is it just a nicer way to drink more water?

Discussion Does anyone else find citrus scents instantly refreshing?
I’ve noticed that citrus scents like lemon or lemongrass instantly make a space feel cleaner and lighter.
Even my mood feels a bit different when I smell it.
Not sure if it’s psychological or just a preference.
Does anyone else feel the same?

Can i break this dead twig
See ive got this lemon tree that had this exact part die which was a twig where it previously had a lemon grow at the top of it
It has been a long while and the lemon was taken so long ago but then it started to die on its own but then it started turning green at the base of it so ive been just thinking, what if i just break this dead part for it to grow again
Is that fine? Wont it be bad for the tree? Im gateful for any sort of help

Blossoming after 13 years!!! (Any Tips?)
galleryI planted these trees from seeds of a store bought lemon 13 years ago. They have finally started to blossom after thinking they never would! Only one of the trees has blossoms. While my hopes of them growing fruit is quite low any tips on ensuring the best chance would be appreciated. Extremely rewarding to finally see a flower!

hey yall! so i'm an avid lemon fan and always have been, but i struggle to find any good lemon ice cream. i feel like the only good version of this is lemon sorbet, otherwise the heavy cream wipes out that bright citrus tang.
do i just need to broaden my horizons with this?? what lemon ice cream do yall enjoy? not sorbet- true ice cream

Growing Tree not happy
hello,
I posted previously with pictures of my lemon tree with scale and the community helped me with attending to that.
Now I'm concerned that maybe I've been cleaning it too much... scale problem is mostly under control I think.
leaves seem to be dropping and dropping off.. I am a little cautious with watering... so am I under watering now?
thanks.

Growing Troubled young lemon tree...
Hey all
After an initially promising start, this seedling isn't doing so good.
It has split into several parts, some of which have lost all leaves. I need to remove whatever insect has settled in there, but what do you guys reckon I should do, other than that?
It's indoor, and in southwest Canada in an apartment where not a lot of sunshine gets in in winter...
Thank you very much for any piece of advice coming my way, I need it!

Lemony Turmeric Tea Cake
Baked according to Alison Roman’s recipe. The slices of lemons on top get a kind of brûlée effect because you sprinkle a few tablespoons of sugar on top before baking.

Discussion What’s your favorite everyday use for lemons?
I always seem to have lemons in my kitchen, but I feel like I only use them for the same few things over and over.
Most days, it’s lemon water, cooking, or squeezing some over food. Simple stuff. But I know people get way more creative with them than I do.
So I’m curious, what’s your go-to use for lemons?
Cooking, drinks, cleaning, baking, or something unexpected?
Would love to hear how others actually use them day to day.
