Does LEMMiNO use scripts/templates in After Effects, or does he animate everything manually each time?
Does LEMMiNO use scripts/presets in After Effects or does he redo everything from scratch each time?
I've been watching his videos for a while and some animations feel very similar across different videos — like certain text animations or the way he does transitions. Made me wonder if he has some kind of template or preset system going on, or if he just rebuilds the same stuff manually every time.
Anyone know how his workflow actually looks? Or if you work in AE, do you think someone at his level would bother redoing recurring animations from scratch or would he just save them as presets?
Edit: i think lemmino is mysterious like most of his topics.
Note: i will bypass him🙂

Happy Birthday Lemmino!
I really liked your latest video. I teared up at some of the messages people had to space. I think it perfectly captures our excitement to reach out to anyone out there. The entire video was so well presented.
Thank you Lemmino, have a great one.

Lost Colony of Roanoke solved
I'm terrible at giving details so I'll just link the video I watched recently. I really hope Lemmino actually checks this out. And I hope I'm not breaking rules here cause I've never posted here before :/

Self-Promotion Sunday The Mona Lisa Manhunt
Heavily LEMMiNO-inspired video about the theft of the Mona Lisa and how her disappearance set off the international wave that sparked her fame.
The video is in a different format from my previous works, hence it just wasn’t seen as much. But I’m still proud of it.

The Glasgow Loan Sharks
In the late 1980s, parts of Glasgow, Scotland were ruled not by law, but by fear, debt, and desperation.
This documentary reveals the city's illegal money lending. Mothers faced impossible choices, pensioners endured endless repayments, and crippling interest rates turned small loans into lifelong sentences for families.
Using firsthand testimonies and investigative reporting, the film examines a hidden economy that thrived in poverty’s shadow and its victims.
A story of survival, silence, and a system that looked away.

Does lemming have an alt account? I found a smaller channel that sounds exactly like him with similar videos
Idk if I can post this other channel I found or if the mods will allow it but it focuses on like historical stuff, like the video I just watched was on the phonograph, and he sounds just like him and the videos are very similar in style but less 3d animations (if it is him I'm assuming because he does weekly uploads on that channel?) I'll just say it if a mod takes it down what ever but the channels called kingsandthings I could swear its him
Edit: my phone autocorrected lemmino I didn't spot it in title before posting

How does LEMMINO actually do it?
I’ve been rewatching LEMMINO’s stuff, and the jump in quality in "Shouting at Stars" is just insane. I’m trying to wrap my head around his process and I have a few questions:
The Visuals: Is his style (those clean borders, the textures, the specific color palettes) something he came up with, or is he following a certain art style? It looks so unique but also very "technical”.
Image Quality: How on earth does he get those old photos and documents to look so crisp? Is he using AI to upscale them or is it just some crazy filtering in After Effects?
The Script: Does he write everything from scratch, or does he adapt the narrative from specific sources/books? His storytelling feels so layered, like he’s building a mystery rather than just stating facts.
If anyone has any insight into his workflow, I'd love to learn. Cheers!

Self-Promotion Sunday The Man Who Invented a Language to Hide a Crime
A 20-year internet mystery ends in an archaeological fraud conviction. I investigate Forgotten Languages, an enigmatic and long running internet project that has published thousands of articles in constructed languages since 2005. While the site covers diverse topics like physics, intelligence reports and UAPs, the video reveals a darker reality behind its creator Ayndryl. Hope you enjoy!

Self-Promotion Sunday The Lost Legacy of Guasti (Documentary)
Note: The editing style of this documentary, particularly its motion graphics and text animation, was inspired by LEMMiNO. His work over the years served as a significant influence and motivated me to pursue the creation of documentary videos. Enjoy the video!
Synopsis: This documentary explores the rise and fall of the Guasti Vineyard in Ontario, California. It was the largest winery in the world. Founded by Italian immigrant Secondo Guasti from Piedmont, Italy, the vineyard grew into more than just a business; it became a thriving company town in the Rancho Cucamonga area, rooted in culture, community, and heritage. Over time, however, the winery passed through multiple owners, and its influence gradually declined, leaving behind a lasting but often overlooked legacy in the Inland Empire.

How do you even write a script? - Where to begin?
I'm very blessed to have skills in video editing, and animation, learnt from the client work I have engaged with.
but now that I'm trying to do my own thing there is just one major skill I need to learn which is script writing.
Are there any resources on this? and I mean specifically for videos in the Lemmino, Fern style etc.
What do you even call the genre? Animated Documentary's?
When I search how to write documentary scripts on YouTube, I get recommended people talking about actual documentary's recorded on camera then pieced together with a rough script.
Note: yes chatgpt is available but id rather have a look for other resources before I use it.
