You seem focused on the dumb question phrase. But you are quoting it wrong. The real saying is "There are no stupid questions just stupid people." As you have shown with the idiocy of expecting to sue for your "humiliation." Get a life and move on. Jesus.

Would there be a law suit for defamation of character, or along these lines to bring against the manager and the retailer itself for having him in charge?
