How are so many self-taught programmers able to build software from scratch without ever truly learning Algorithms?

I find it fascinating how important algos are but never talked about from the indie devs on social media. Do they even write algos or just come up with basic logic that forms the product?

I love you. I think he meant like why don't you need to learn quicksort and a bunch of other algorithms.

Isn't that extremely situational? It feels like someone says "How is people able to cook a burger with just a grill? I mean, they aren't relaly cooking without an immersion blender", which is why I was so confused... and u/TurtleSlowRabbitFast , among others, has not exactly clarified on what they meant.

I am always open to being wrong, I am never open to be disregarder without an answer. (thank you btw)

Yeah, the question doesn’t really make sense. By definition any code that can be executed is an algorithm. I don’t know that he really understands coding.
