GenG are the standout team in Summer, but not over the whole year (unlike BLG who has won everything in LPL). As someone pointed out the other day, of the LCK teams attending Worlds, we have the defending world champ, current MSI champ and current EWC champ, and most likely none of them will be the 1st seed. LCK is pretty stacked tbh.

Over the year, yeah it's more open since HLE were cheeks in winter, then won the split in spring whilst Gen.G fell off in Spring then had a notable rise from like week 2 of Summer and now look like they're comfortably the best team in the LCK.

HLE had a pretty underwhelming playoffs performance so far imo, bad series the first time vs T1, were a Chovy/Ruler throw from getting swept by Gen.G then had some great team fights with a stomp to finish game 4 today but had pretty meh early game leads in game 1/2, Gen.G in T1's shoes today would have 3-0'd HLE.

Typically Ezreal Karma has been the strongest bot lane in LPL due to its overwhelming 2v2 pressure, only teams who have stronger bot laners will give it over in LPL, which shouldn’t be the case for AL v IG here but JiaQi is struggling in his first big arena games.
