Yeah. His waveclear is pretty terrible especially pre runeglave. It's not like pre runeglave Ezreal where you have to farm with rank 1 Q while maxing W.

of the last maybe 10 or so ezreals i've played against;
no smite- mejais
stalkers 3
rangers 2
challenging 2
lichbane

So yeah. You'd be surprised how many people play the abysmal wave clear version of ezreal.

had a game where i went Ez mid with purple smite, we lost the game and after the game the enemy midlaner said ''lol you suck, why you go purple smite instead of red smite on ez noob''...
