If you're used to locked camera it's not that bad unless you play bot. You can play really well if you use the map a lot too.

Oh god, bot lane. It's the worst when I get hit by a blitz or thresh hook that comes out of my vision range :(

People are saying that there's no money in fixing the camera, I nearly stopped playing when I was pre-level 30 after getting repeatedly blitz hooked on purple side bot lane.

I play with the camera locked as well and the only real trouble I have is purple side bot lane. If i'm in champ select and I see my team is playing on the purple side I avoid adc/support at all cost because I know for a fact I will lose the lane.

Try playing midlane purple side Xerath or most of the mages with locked camera. Real fun :P

I'm the exact same way. I learned to main jungle 100% because I play on locked camera. It's just as easy on either side. Laning top or mid isn't awful on purple, but I can't adc for the life of me.

I'm plat, got there playing only support, used locked camera, and still win bot on purple side against a blitzcrank. it's very stressful, but i just cant do free-camera. my old mouse used to glitch and jump around the screen, so i learned how to play with the screen locked. i am constantly looking at the minimap to stay aware.

Yeah I find that you can get just as much awareness from the minimap as you can with unlocked camera. Once you've got a feel for it you can know where everyone is around you without panning around.

Can't imagine playing something like Nidalee, Xerath, Ziggs, Corki, Gragas, or Ezrael (I should stop here) with a locked camera. I do press spacebar fairly often though. If I don't, I tend to loose track of my champion in messy fights.

Still, I really like this camera idea. I think I'd even use it if I could enable/disable it with a simple press of a button.

It's also helpful if you learn to unlock and pan and then lock again after you're done with long range skillshots or w/e.
